Kårstø Expansion Project (KEP 2005)

In 2005, SAL transported over 50,000 freight mtons of modules and equipment from Italy to the Kårstø processing complex north of Stavanger, Norway.

Kårstø is Europe’s biggest export port for natural gas liquids (NGLs) and the third largest in the world. After the successful completion of the shipments, SAL received an HMS award by Statoil and MV Kellogg for operational safety and good maritime practice in the Kårstø Expansion Project (KEP 2005).
