What keeps us so fascinated about our business? It is not only a
passion for shipping. For most of us it is the fascination of seafar-
ing. Live out a dream of sailing away.
For our crews it is daily business. They work hard to ensure
our client’s cargo arrives safely at its destination. Doing so, the
vessels form their home in months at a time. A special relation- 10
ship emerges between man and vessel. It is a relationship of
workplace and home, of man and machine, spanning across 160
metres. It is a very isolated living in a very small community. You
may say that the vessel becomes a little world on its own.
Few people have the chance to go on board a heavy lift ves-
sel. But we think that life on board is so fascinating that we feel it
is a shame if you don’t get to see it too. So we would like to invite
you on board. In a new series you will get insights into the life on 9
board and at sea. From bridge to engine room. From captain to
cadet.
