NEW BEAMSET
Houston, USA – SAL Heavy Lift GmbH has recently purchased
a tailor-made set of lifting beams allowing us to perform
lifting operations which would not be pos-
sible with “standard” gear. The set
consists of two traverse beams with
a working length of up to 26 metres
and a single SWL of 1 000 tons and
two spreader beams with a working
length of up to 18 metres and a single
SWL of 1 000 tons (at 90° angle between
the slings). They can be used in multiple con-
figurations, e. g. completely assembled for lifting
with “forklift method”. The single beam has already
been used for the beach platform project “The Terrace” at
Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai. You could read about this in our
NEWSBREEZE Edition 1 and 2 / 2016. We are happy for having
these beams in our inventory and they will surely be an important
tool in our future endeavors. D

th
Hamburg, Germany – Our colleagues Stephanie Schillgalies and
Maximilian Karp celebrate their five year anniversary with SAL.
Stephanie started in January 2012 and Max in March. “Working
the first year still in Steinkirchen gave a very good impression of
where the company is coming from and what it is all about. Now
it’s been five very exciting years with great colleagues and we
are happy to be part of this organization.” D
